Douglas Kearney (born 1974) is an American poet, performer, and librettist who grew up in Altadena, California. He has published numerous poetry collections including The Black Automaton, Buck Studies, and Sho, the latter winning the Griffin Poetry Prize and a finalist for the National Book Award. He teaches at the University of Minnesota and has received awards like the Whiting Award and Campbell Opera Librettist Prize.
