About This Book

A seven-part novel following Asle, an elderly Norwegian painter, as he reflects on his life, his art, his faith, and a mysterious counterpart who shares his name. Written in Fosse's characteristic style of repetitive, rhythmic, minimalist prose, Septology is his most ambitious work and widely considered his masterpiece.
