Ringworld

Laurence van Cott Niven (born April 30, 1938) is an American science fiction writer best known for his 1970 novel Ringworld, which won the Hugo, Nebula, Locus, and Ditmar awards, and collaborations like The Mote in God's Eye (1974) and Lucifer's Hammer (1977) with Jerry Pournelle. for short fiction including "Neutron Star" (1967), "Inconstant Moon" (1972), and "The Hole Man" (1975), and was honored with the 2015 Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
