Joy Chant (born 13 January 1945) is a British fantasy writer best known for her House of Kendreth trilogy: Red Moon and Black Mountain (1970), The Grey Mane of Morning (1977), and When Voiha Wakes (1983). Her works earned multiple Mythopoeic Fantasy Awards, including for Red Moon and Black Mountain (1972) and When Voiha Wakes (1984), while The High Kings (1983) won the World Fantasy Special Award.
