Marci BlackmanAmerican
Marci Blackman is an African American literary fiction author, originally from Ohio and now based in Brooklyn, New York. Her most notable work, the novel Po Man's Child (2000), received the American Library Association's Stonewall Book Award for Best Fiction and the Firecracker Alternative Book Award for Best New Fiction; other works include the novel Tradition (2013), the co-edited anthology Beyond Definition, and Bike NYC.
