About the Author
Wright MorrisAmerican
Wright Marion Morris (1910–1998) was an American novelist, photographer, and essayist renowned for his portrayals of Great Plains people and landscapes. Born in Central City, Nebraska, he experimented with narrative forms and photo-texts, winning National Book Awards for The Field of Vision (1956) and Plains Song (1980). He taught at San Francisco State University and received multiple Guggenheim Fellowships.
