About the Author
Andrea LawlorAmerican
Andrea Lawlor is an American non-binary author who attended Fordham University in the early 1990s and became involved in queer activism, including starting the first lesbian and gay group on campus and participating in ACT UP. They began writing at age 30 and spent 15 years completing their debut novel Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl (2017), which won the 2020 Whiting Award for Fiction and was a finalist for the Lambda Literary and CLMP Firecracker Awards. Lawlor teaches creative writing at Mount Holyoke College and serves as a fiction editor for Fence magazine.
