Alma Routsong (pen name Isabel Miller, 1924-1996) was an American novelist best known for her pioneering lesbian fiction, including the landmark novel Patience and Sarah (originally self-published as A Place for Us in 1969), which won the first Stonewall Book Award (Gay Book Award) in 1971 and became a seminal work in LGBTQ literature.
