Fritz Reuter Leiber Jr. (1910-1992) was an American author renowned for his pioneering work in fantasy, horror, and science fiction, particularly the sword-and-sorcery series featuring Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, starting with "Two Sought Adventure" (1939), and novels like The Big Time (Hugo winner, 1958/1961) and The Wanderer (Hugo winner, 1964).
