Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit

Jeanette Winterson (born 1959) is a British author whose debut novel Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit (1985) won the Whitbread Prize for Best First Novel and was adapted into a BAFTA-winning TV series. Other notable works include The Passion (1987) and Frankissstein (2019, Booker longlist), and she has received the OBE (2006) and CBE (2018) for services to literature.
