About the Author

Zoë Strachan (born 1975) is a Scottish novelist, journalist, and creative writing professor at the University of Glasgow, where she also earned degrees in Archaeology/Philosophy and Creative Writing. Her notable works include the novels Negative Space (2002, Betty Trask Award winner), Spin Cycle (2004), Ever Fallen in Love (2011), and Catch the Moments as They Fly (2023), as well as editing the LGBT anthology Out There (2014). She has held fellowships such as Writer-in-Residence at the National Museum of Scotland and the Hermann Kesten Stipendium, and collaborates on interdisciplinary projects including sound art and opera libretti.
