Father Trevor Huddleston (1913-1998) was an English Anglican bishop renowned for his anti-apartheid activism in South Africa, where he served as a priest in Sophiatown from 1943 to 1956, and later held positions including Bishop of Masasi, Bishop of Stepney, Bishop of Mauritius, and Archbishop of the Indian Ocean. His most notable work, Naught for Your Comfort (1956), a seminal critique of apartheid, won the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award in 1957 for nonfiction, highlighting his literary contributions to understanding racism.
