John GuyBritish
John Guy (born 16 January 1949) is a British historian and author specializing in Tudor England, born in Warragul, Australia, and raised in England after moving there in 1952. His notable works include My Heart is My Own: The Life of Mary Queen of Scots (2004), which won the Whitbread Biography Award and inspired the 2018 film Mary Queen of Scots, as well as Tudor England (1988), Elizabeth: The Forgotten Years (2016), and Hunting the Falcon (2023, co-authored with Julia Fox). A fellow of Clare College, Cambridge, he has earned academic honors like the Yorke Prize and has presented BBC documentaries on Tudor history. Read more →
