Mr. Ames Against Time

Philip Albert Child (1898–1978) was a Canadian novelist, poet, and academic born in Hamilton, Ontario. He served in World War I, earned degrees from Trinity College, Cambridge, and Harvard, and taught at the University of British Columbia and Trinity College, becoming Chancellor's Professor of English.
