Martin Pippin in the Apple Orchard

Eleanor Farjeon (1881–1965) was an English author of children's stories, plays, poetry, biography, history, and satire, born into a literary family in London and educated at home. She gained fame for works like Martin Pippin in the Apple Orchard (1921) and The Little Bookroom (1955), the latter winning the Carnegie Medal and the first Hans Christian Andersen Award.
