Frederik PohlAmerican
Frederik Pohl (1919-2013) was an American science fiction author and editor, best known for novels like Gateway (1977), which won the Hugo, Nebula, Locus, and Campbell Memorial Awards, Man Plus (1976 Nebula winner), Jem (1979 National Book Award), and collaborations such as The Space Merchants with C.M. Kornbluth. He edited magazines Galaxy and If, with If winning three consecutive Hugo Awards for Best Professional Magazine (1966-1968), received the SFWA Grand Master Award in 1993, and was inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame in 1998.
