About the Author
John HolmanAmerican
John William Holman (born 1951) is an American short story writer, novelist, and academic born in Durham, North Carolina. He earned degrees from the University of North Carolina (BA 1973), North Carolina Central University (MA 1977), and the University of Southern Mississippi (PhD 1983), and teaches at Georgia State University where he co-directs the Creative Writing Program. His works include the story collection Squabble and Other Stories (1990), for which he received the 1991 Whiting Writers' Award, and the novel Luminous Mysteries (1998), selected as one of the 25 Books All Georgians Should Read.
