Lord Valentine's Castle

Robert Silverberg (born January 15, 1935) is an American science fiction author and editor, one of the most prolific writers in the genre with hundreds of works published since the 1950s. A voracious reader from childhood, he began publishing stories as a teenager, earned a BA from Columbia University, and won his first Hugo Award in 1956 as the best new writer. He is a multiple Hugo and Nebula Award winner, was inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame in 1999, and named a Grand Master by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America in 2004; notable works include Nightwings, Downward to the Earth, Dying Inside, and Lord Valentine's Castle, the first in the Majipoor series.
