Anne Simpson (born 1956) is a Canadian poet, novelist, artist, and essayist known for her award-winning works in poetry and fiction. Her notable poetry collections include Loop, winner of the 2004 Griffin Poetry Prize, and Light Falls Through You, which received the Gerald Lampert Award and Atlantic Poetry Prize; her novels include Falling, a bestseller longlisted for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and winner of the Dartmouth Fiction Award, and Speechless, winner of the Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award. She has also earned the Journey Prize for her short story "Dreaming Snow" and the Pat Lowther Award for Quick.com
