About the Author
Brian Floca is an American author and illustrator of children's books born in Temple, Texas in 1968. He won the 2014 Caldecott Medal for *Locomotive*, a richly illustrated account of the first transcontinental railroad journey. He is also a Caldecott Honor winner for *Moonshot: The Flight of Apollo 11*.
