Nancy Huston (born September 16, 1953) is a prolific Canadian novelist and essayist, long based in France, who writes primarily in French and often self-translates her works into English. Her most notable works include Fault Lines (Prix Femina 2006), Instruments of Darkness (Prix Goncourt des Lycéens and Prix du Livre Inter 1996), and Plainsong (Governor General's Award 1993), earning her major accolades like Officer of the Order of Canada.
