Albert Palle (1916-2007) was a French writer best known for his novel L'Expérience (1959), which won the prestigious Prix Renaudot. Born in Le Havre, he studied under Jean-Paul Sartre and Raymond Aron, fought in the French Resistance earning the Croix de guerre, and contributed journalism to publications like Le Combat, France Dimanche, and Elle. His other notable works include Les marches (1962) and Les chaudières et la lune (1965).
