Alphonse BoudardFrench
Alphonse Boudard (1925-2000) was a French novelist and playwright known for his autobiographical works drawing from his experiences in jail, sanatoriums, and the French Resistance during WWII, often featuring 1940s slang and colloquial language. His most notable works include Les Combattants du petit bonheur (1977), which won the Prix Renaudot, and Mourir d'enfance (1995), awarded the Grand Prix du roman de l'Académie française; many of his novels were adapted into French films and television.
