About the Author

Torcuato Luca de Tena Brunet (1923-1999) was a Spanish writer, journalist, and member of the Real Academia Española, born into a prominent family of journalists as the grandson of ABC newspaper founder Torcuato Luca de Tena y Álvarez Ossorio. He began his career as a WWII correspondent for ABC, later directing the newspaper twice (1952-1953 and 1962-1975), while also serving as a procurador in Cortes and engaging in Franco-era politics as a monarchist. His notable literary works include the novels Edad prohibida (1958) on adolescence and Los renglones torcidos de Dios (1979) on madness, for which he won awards like the Premio Planeta and Premio Nacional de Literatura.https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torcuato_Luca_de_Tena_Brunet, Real Academia Española
