La chimera

Sebastiano Vassalli (1941-2015) was an Italian writer born in Genoa, who graduated from the University of Milan and was involved with the Neoavanguardia Gruppo 63 before focusing on literature. He contributed to major newspapers like La Repubblica, La Stampa, and Corriere della Sera, and achieved fame with historical novels such as La chimera (1990), winner of the prestigious Premio Strega. Italian
