この人の閾 (Kono Hito no Iki)

Kazushi Hosaka (born October 15, 1956) is a Japanese writer known for depicting ordinary people in everyday situations, often featuring cats in his characters' lives, with his style compared to the films of Yasujirō Ozu. He debuted with Plainsong in 1990 after working at Seibu Culture Centers, becoming a full-time writer in 1993. His notable works include Breakfast on the Grasses (1993), The Area of the Person (1995), and Memories of Seasons (1997), for which he received the Noma Literary New Face Prize, Akutagawa Prize, and Tanizaki Prize, respectively.
