Miri Yu (Yū Miri), born June 22, 1968, in Yokohama, Japan, is a Zainichi Korean playwright, novelist, and essayist who writes in Japanese. She began her career in theater before transitioning to novels in the 1990s, winning the Noma Literary Prize for Full House (1996) and the Akutagawa Prize for Family Cinema (1997).
