About the Author
Sylvie GermainFrench
Sylvie Germain is a French author born in 1954 in Châteauroux, France. She earned advanced degrees in philosophy from the Sorbonne and Paris-Nanterre before publishing her debut novel Le Livre des Nuits in 1984, which won six literary prizes, and later won the prestigious Prix Femina for Jours de Colère in 1989 among other honors. Since 1994, she has dedicated herself fully to writing novels, essays, spiritual meditations, and biographies, with many works translated into English.
