Robert Jacob Alexander Skidelsky, Baron Skidelsky (born 1939), is a British economic historian, author, and crossbench life peer in the House of Lords, best known for his award-winning three-volume biography of John Maynard Keynes. Educated at Jesus College, Oxford, he is Emeritus Professor of Political Economy at the University of Warwick and has held various academic posts, influencing public policy as founding chairman of the Social Market Foundation. His career includes memberships in the Labour Party, Social Democratic Party, and Conservative Party before becoming a crossbencher.com
