蹴りたい背中 (I Want to Kick You in the Back)

Risa Wataya (born 1984) is a Japanese novelist from Kyoto who debuted at age 17 with Install, winning the Bungei Prize, and at 19 became the youngest winner of the Akutagawa Prize for Keritai senaka (I Want to Kick You in the Back), which sold over a million copies. She later won the Kenzaburo Oe Prize in 2012 for Kawaisou da ne? and has seen several works adapted into films, with her novels translated into multiple languages. Read more →
