About This Book
A young man named Not Sidney Poitier—orphaned, wealthy from a Fidelity Investments fortune, and bearing an uncanny resemblance to the actor—stumbles through a picaresque life that mirrors Sidney Poitier's most famous film roles. A wildly inventive satire of race, identity, and American culture. Winner of the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award for Fiction.
