Tomita Miki, known by his pen name Taku Miki (born May 13, 1935, in Tokyo, Japan – died November 18, 2023), was a Japanese poet and novelist active during the Showa and Heisei eras. He graduated from Waseda University in 1959 with a major in Russian literature, contributed to literary magazines during college, and later joined the poetry circle Han. Notable works include the poetry collection Tokyo gozen sanji (1966), the Akutagawa Prize-winning story Hiwa (1973), novels like Gyosha no aki (1985), and juvenile fiction Potapota (1984); he received awards such as the Tanizaki Prize (1997) and was elected to the Japan Art Academy in 2007.
