Richard EgielskiAmerican
Richard Egielski (born 1952) is an American illustrator and writer best known for his work on over fifty children's picture books, including eight that he authored himself. He studied at Parsons School of Design and gained prominence through collaborations with Arthur Yorinks, notably illustrating Hey, Al, which won the Caldecott Medal in 1987, and contributions to the Tub People series by Pam Conrad. Other notable works include Buz and Jazper, both recognized by The New York Times as best illustrated children's books.
