Hearing Birds Fly

Louisa Waugh (born c. 1970) is a British author and human rights advocate known for her travel memoirs depicting life in remote and conflict-affected regions. Her notable works include Hearing Birds Fly: A Nomadic Year in Mongolia (2003), which won the inaugural Royal Society of Literature Ondaatje Prize, Selling Olga: Stories of Human Trafficking and Resistance (2006), and Meet Me in Gaza (2013).
