Sarah HallEnglish
Sarah Hall FRSL (born 1974) is an English novelist and short story writer from Bampton, Cumbria. Her debut novel Haweswater won the 2003 Commonwealth Writers' Prize (Overall Best First Book), and her second novel The Electric Michelangelo was shortlisted for the 2004 Man Booker Prize. She is the first and only author to win the BBC National Short Story Award twice (2013, 2020), was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 2016, and has been shortlisted or won numerous other prestigious literary prizes.
