Yuui Suzuki (鈴木結生) is a Japanese novelist born on May 23, 2001, in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, and raised in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. While studying at Southwest Gakuin University, she debuted in 2024 with an honorable mention in the 10th Hayashi Fumiko Literary Prize for "How Many Books Does a Person Need?" Her breakthrough came in 2025 when she won the prestigious 172nd Akutagawa Prize for her debut novel "Goethe Said Everything," becoming the first winner born in the 21st century; that year she also received the Fukuoka Prefecture Cultural Award.Chosun Ilbo, Asia Economy
