Ginger Pye

Eleanor Estes (1906–1988) was an American children's author and librarian renowned for her family stories inspired by her early 20th-century life in small-town Connecticut. Her most notable works include the Newbery Medal-winning Ginger Pye (1951) and the Moffats series (The Moffats, The Middle Moffat, Rufus M.), with three books earning Newbery Honors (The Middle Moffat, Rufus M.
