About the Author
Tommye BlountAmerican
Tommye Blount is a Black, queer poet born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He earned an MFA from Warren Wilson College and is the author of the poetry collection Fantasia for the Man in Blue (2020), a finalist for the 2020 National Book Award for Poetry, and the chapbook What Are We Not For (2016). He has received fellowships from Cave Canem, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and Kresge Arts.
