Clara Sánchez (born March 1, 1955, in Guadalajara, Spain) is a Spanish novelist and philologist renowned for her novels exploring human vulnerability, relationships, and contemporary life, which have been translated into over 20 languages. She has won prestigious awards including the Alfaguara Prize (2000) for Últimas noticias del paraíso, the Nadal Prize (2010) for Lo que esconde tu nombre, and the Planeta Prize (2013) for El cielo ha vuelto, and was elected to seat X of the Real Academia Española in 2023. ), )
