Sue Prideaux (born 1946) is an Anglo-Norwegian biographer and novelist whose works focus on artists and thinkers including Edvard Munch, August Strindberg, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Paul Gauguin. Her debut biography, Edvard Munch: Behind the Scream (2005), won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, while Strindberg: A Life (2012) earned the Duff Cooper Prize, I Am Dynamite!: A Life of Nietzsche (2018) received the Hawthornden Prize and was named The Times Biography of the Year, and Wild Thing: A Life of Paul Gauguin (2024) won the 2025 Duff Cooper Prize.
