About the Author
Vu TranAmerican
Vu Hoang Tran was born in 1975 in Saigon, Vietnam, and fled the country with his family by boat in 1980, eventually settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is a Vietnamese American novelist and short story writer whose debut novel Dragonfish (2015) was a New York Times Notable Book. He holds degrees from the University of Tulsa, Iowa Writers' Workshop, and University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and teaches at the University of Chicago.
