About the Author
Winifred BambrickCanadian
Winifred Estella Bambrick (1892–1969) was a Canadian harpist and novelist born in Ottawa, Ontario. She debuted in New York in 1913, recorded for Edison Records, toured with John Philip Sousa's band, and performed in Europe during the 1930s, escaping internment before World War II. Her notable work, the novel Continental Revue (1946), inspired by her European tours, won the Governor General's Award for English-language fiction. Read more →
