Margaret AvisonCanadian
Margaret Avison (1918-2007) was a renowned Canadian poet known for her introspective and spiritual verse, with notable works including Winter Sun (1960), The Dumbfounding (1966), No Time (1990), and Concrete and Wild Carrot (2002). She achieved major literary success by winning the Governor General's Award twice, the Griffin Poetry Prize in 2003, and being appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1984.
