Manuel Ferrand Bonilla (1925-1985) was a Spanish writer, journalist, and illustrator from Seville, known for his social realist novels depicting Andalusian life. His most notable works include Con la noche a cuestas (1968), which won the prestigious Premio Planeta, and El otro bando (1966), recipient of the Premio Elisenda de Moncada and Platero de Plata from the Ateneo de Sevilla.
