Karl Fergus Connor Miller (1931–2014) was a Scottish literary editor, critic, and writer born in Loanhead, Midlothian. He served as literary editor of The Spectator and New Statesman, editor of The Listener (1967–73), founded and edited the London Review of Books (1979–1992), and was Lord Northcliffe Professor of Modern English Literature at University College London (1974–1992). His notable works include Cockburn's Millennium, which won the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, Doubles: Studies in Literary History, and Electric Shepherd: a likeness of James Hogg.
