Sylvia MossAmerican
Sylvia Moss (born 1937) is an American poet, writer, and editor based in Larchmont, New York. She studied at Barnard College and the University of Wisconsin at Madison (BA 1957) and later received an MSc from Columbia University in psychology. Notable for her poetry collection Cities in Motion (1987), selected by Derek Walcott for the National Poetry Series, she also received the 1988 Whiting Award and edited works like China 5000 Years: Innovation and Transformation in the Arts.
