About the Author
Weike WangAmerican
Weike Wang is a Chinese-American author born in Nanjing, China around the late 1980s or early 1990s. She emigrated with her family at age five, living in Australia and Canada before settling in the US at age eleven, and she earned degrees from Harvard University including in chemistry, a doctorate in public health, and an MFA from Boston University. Her debut novel Chemistry (2017) won the PEN/Hemingway Award, and she has published subsequent novels Joan Is Okay (2022) and Rental House (2024), along with receiving a Whiting Award and National Book Foundation 5 Under 35 recognition.
