Blake Bailey (born 1963) is an American biographer and educator renowned for his works including A Tragic Honesty: The Life and Work of Richard Yates (2003), Cheever: A Life (2009, National Book Critics Circle Award winner and Pulitzer finalist), Farther & Wilder (2013) on Charles Jackson, and Philip Roth: The Biography (2021). He has also edited Library of America editions of Cheever's writings and received honors such as a Guggenheim Fellowship and the American Academy of Arts and Letters' Award in Literature.
