Joel BrouwerAmerican
Joel Brouwer (born 1968 in Grand Rapids, Michigan) is an American poet, professor, and critic. He is the author of several poetry collections, including Centuries (2003), a National Book Critics Circle Notable Book, and Exactly What Happened (1999), winner of the Larry Levis Prize. Brouwer teaches at the University of Alabama and has received fellowships from the NEA, Whiting Foundation, and Guggenheim Foundation.
