About the Author
Carolina de Robertis is an Uruguayan-American novelist and translator whose fiction explores LGBTQ+ history, Latin American politics, and the lives of marginalized communities. Born in Uruguay, she grew up in England, Switzerland, and the United States, and is fluent in English and Spanish. Her novels include The Invisible Mountain (2009), Perla (2012), The Gods of Tango (2015), which won the Stonewall Book Award for Literature, and Cantoras (2019), which won the Stonewall Book Award for Literature and was a finalist for the Kirkus Prize.
